Embedded Hardware Engineer Intern (Paid)
POSITION SUMMARY:
As an Embedded Hardware Engineer Intern, you will be part of Lion Energy’s next generation products. You will assist in the development and verification of new hardware as well as R&D projects.
RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES:
Assist with design, prototype, and validation of hardware systems for new products and R&D efforts
Establish and manage the relationship with vendors and contractors from prototyping to volume production
Work in cross-functional capacity with the embedded software and systems teams to deliver key system performance metrics
Assist with developing hardware test procedures
Present technical findings to cross-functional stakeholders
REQUIRED EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:
Working on BS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or a related discipline.
Hands-on experience in rapid prototyping of hardware, including utilizing dev kits and embedded software (Preferred)
Experience with PCB (printed circuit boards) design, layout, and part creation in Altium Designer (Preferred)
Experience with embedded system design including processor selection, communication protocols (USB, SPI (Serial Peripheral Interface), I2C, etc.), extremely low power design, sensor integration, and multi-radio integration (Preferred)
Experience with RF technology and RF design, especially for Bluetooth and Wi-Fi (Preferred)
Experience with spice simulation and modeling (Preferred)
